Be There With Bells On
Press Release
Lawrence created this rad press release for the concert on Friday. I will be opening for Chad Lewis (www.ChadLewis.net) THIS FRIDAY at The Narrow Path. Show starts at 7:00, so get there early! There's no cover and it will end around 9:00. You really have no excuse NOT to go.
I'll be covering Bob Dylan, Patty Griffin, The Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, and Sandra McCracken and doing some originals too. Chad does all originals and his songs are excellent.
Also, check out www.nikkitatom.com! Well, there's only a picture on there now, but it will soon be a wealth of information and fun.

Oh, and if you want something to read, scroll down to the post "A Little Problem." It's the poor middle post between Bert's question and Bert's poll. Poor post. Ya'll read it. Alex Forrest has a hilarious comment on it.

Will Bert make an appearance?
Hey Nikki, I tried to call you, but the number for you in the Seminary Stalker is wrong (I think). Next time I see you, if I don't remember, could I have your number? I needed some directions to your show this coming weekend. Thanks, and watch out for the giant sewer rats that will soon be invading our campus.
Nikki-
Seriously, that is the coolest website ever! That one picture is enough to draw... probably DOZENS of Hot Calvinist Guys. Sweet.
Now you've got guys asking you for your number here. Geez! Popular girl...
I wasn't sure if you ever got a semi-intelligent definition of what it means to "be there with bells on" so I just had to look it up myself:
What does "I'll be there with bells on" mean?
"Be there with bells on. Arriving 'with bells on' -- meaning happy and delighted to attend -- goes back to the days before automobile, when it was the custom to deck out with the fanciest harness the horse that drew the carriage for special occasions. That, of course, was the harness 'with bells on.'" From the "Morris Dictionary of Word Phrase Origins" by William and Mary Morris (HarperCollins, Publishers, New York, 1977, 1988).
Sorry Nick and I won't be there "with bells on." Not because we're not 'happy and delighted to attend' or that we don't have any bells, it's just that we'll be in Ohio and we'll be taking our bells with us. But we want to hear everything about it when we get back! :)
ok, maybe I'm really sheltered or something, but I've never heard the expression, "with bells on," before in my life. Brittany, thank you for explaining it!
Nikki-That pic of you crossing the street is totally cool! And those dagger* heels are awesome! *dagger n. a weapon with a short, pointed blade, used for stabbing [rats, or other large rodents]. (Definition from Eleanor's Amplified Dictionary.)
Rumor has it there will be Lorie King. And even mandolin on at least one song. God bless you, Nikki Tatom.

I love Nickel Creek.
And the picture of Nikki crossing the street.
And Indian food.
What a cool press release!
What a pro-quality picture!
Great work, Lawrence!
I can't stop using exclamations!
Boing! Boing! Boing!
Nikki,
That was awesome tonight. Nice to finally meet you. Later.
Oh, so awesome...
Anyone who didn't see the gig tonight missed out. And probably isn't saved. Repent and come to Jesus before it's too late, all you non-attenders.
Hey Nikki! great job! I only got to see the begining, but I could hear everything! It was awesome meeting you.
Of course, I will offer a critical analysis of this show on my blog Monday, but I will quickly say, "Great job!" It was fun.
Keep us in the know about your future shows.
Nikki -
Sure wish I lived close to you...I'd check out your show, but know that I'll be praying for you! Good luck and enjoy all that the Lord is allowing you to do!
Peace & Blessings
Ah, nice.
