Little Hyper Puppy
Sometimes I feel like a little (hyper) puppy running around the big dogs. No, I'm being serious. My roommates are both about 5'10. My new friend Christine is 6'2. I will be the shortest person in my wedding (besides the flower girls and ring bearer). Every last one of my bridesmaids is taller than me. My maid-of-honor, Kristin, is 5'10. She will be standing on one side of me while my 6'0 fiance stands on the other side of me. All 5'0 of me will be invisible! I was recently told that the proper way to line your bridesmaids and groomsmen is tallest to shortest. I think I'll probably look like a midget at my wedding...or maybe like a little puppy among the big dogs.

Oh, but you will be the bride so no one will even notice if the bridesmaids are taller than you. They won't be able to take their eyes off of you!
technically ... 6 ft. 1 1/2 in. ... it sounds less freakish that way.

Ahhh, sweet mini-friend! Don't feel insecure -- we're not all laughing behind your back. In fact, I'd say that no more than ten or twelve of us are doing that. Certainly not all.
You may be tiny, but you have a big smile and a ginormous heart!
Nikki, my 4'10" cousin had to stand one step up from her 6'4" husband during the wedding photos at the front of the church... and then the proportions looked just about right. So don't feel too bad. Besides, that dress! You'll be sparkling from every which way while we bridesmaids sparkle-lessly disappear into the background.
I'm not 5'10, either!!! I am 5'9.5
maybe Nikki's thinking of when we wear shoes.

Ah, I'm about 5' 10", too...but thanks for your comment on my blog. I'll be coming up with chirstine NEXT weekend, so maybe I'll get to meet you then..and tell you the story about my picture..it's more than meets the eye.

If it makes you feel any better, if I get married anytime soon, all of my groomsmen will be much taller than I am. All of my really good friends are 6' plus, and I'm only 5'6". Thinking about it, that probably doesn't really make you feel any better.
Nikki, don't worry... I'm sure all eyes will be on you. And you will definitely be visible to everyone in your stunning bridal attire! Oh, and don't feel like you have to go by the old-fashioned tallest to shortest line-up rule. I'm going with who I've known the longest first. And I think you should feel free to send your bridesmaids down the aisle in whatever order you wish!
